Ideally located in Winkelmatten, one of Zermatt's most sought after areas, this stand alone building looks up at the Matterhorn and is only 5 minutes' walk from the Matterhorn Express gondola. For much of the season, it is usually possible to ski back to within 200 metres of the front door via the Moos yellow run, whilst the bus stop is just outside the chalet.

Chalet Ulysse is wonderfully flexible with the main chalet catering for up to 8 and the separate self-contained ground floor apartment catering for up to 4. It can therefore be booked by groups of up to 8 or 12 guests.

The chalet is particularly suitable for families with children. For younger kids, the Winkelmatten play park is immediately opposite, whilst the second sitting room on the ground floor serves well as a TV room away from the main living room upstairs

Built in 2009, this charming chalet is laid out over four floors with separate outside access between the lower ground floor, the ground level apartment and main chalet which is a large duplex with its own internal staircase.

Although traditional in decoration with a wealth of hanging pictures, predominantly of mountain vistas or representing alpine themes, the atmosphere is modern and the furnishings are sumptuous.

Additionally, on the lower ground floor there is a heated ski room with boot warmer and a relaxing "wellness" room with a sauna and rainfall shower where a range of massage and beauty treatments can be booked as an extra.

Although two of the bedrooms have their own TVs with DVD, each of the living rooms is also equipped with TV, DVD and a sound system with internet connectivity assured by the chalet's two wifi networks. All bathrooms have hairdryers and some of the rooms have safes.

Infants' cots and high chairs are available – please let us know in advance.
